Harvest Notes - An excellent year for grapes, 2013 was said to produce 'EPIC' fruit due to the ideal growing conditions under sunny skies.
WHAT Does It Taste Like? - In follow-up to the 2012 signature Outcast Drifter release, this lone rider is again a wanderer "extraordinaire". The 2013 Drifter originates from the Bell's Echo vineyard, where the beauty of the terroir between Anderson Valley and the Mendocino ridge is embodied in this jewel of a wine. The nose is dominated by richly ripe currants and black pepper, coupled with a hint of smoky bacon. This majestic Rhone blend is dense, richly fruit forward, yet smooth in tannins and complex on the finish.
WHAT Should I Pair It With? - BBQ meats with a smoky char, a hearty lamb stew, sausages or creamy blue cheese..
